Sabrina Ulmasova, Central Asia

 

Sabrina Ulmasova is an international consultant with over 15 years of experience in natural capital economics, ecosystem valuation, climate adaptation, and disaster risk finance across Asia, the Middle East, and North America. Her expertise includes climate-smart agriculture, ecosystem service valuation, and resilient rural livelihoods.

She holds M.Sc. degrees in Ecosystem-Based Natural Resource Management (American University of Beirut) and Environmental Policy (University of Rhode Island), and a B.Sc. in Economics (Russian-Tajik Slavic University). She is fluent in English, Russian, Persian, and Arabic.

Sabrina has worked with UNDP Indonesia, where she led forest ecosystem valuation across three landscapes under the GEF-funded SPARE project and developed a Natural Capital Accounting Framework. With ADB Tajikistan, she led climate vulnerability assessments and supported the design of climate-responsive social protection schemes.

Her experience also includes roles with ADB’s CAREC programme, Landell Mills, and World Bank-funded projects. She is a Fulbright alumna and member of the Fulbright Academy of Science and Technology.
