Naimat Chopra
Gender, and Environmental and Social Safeguards
Naimat Chopra is an Environmental and Social Standards (ESS) Specialist with expertise in climate finance, biodiversity safeguards, and project design. She has supported major multilateral initiatives under the GEF, Adaptation Fund, and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, aligning projects with global targets and SDGs. Her work spans results-based financing, theory of change development, and environmental and social risk assessment, delivering scalable, nature-positive outcomes across South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. Naimat has collaborated with ADB, UN agencies, and Sustainable Energy for All, and holds a Master’s in Social Policy and Data Analytics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Delhi.
